Match Report Press Report

Findon Cricket Club 2nd Beat CAA 2nd in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. This turned out to be the case with a Home win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 14 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Wendy Simpson winning through.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 58 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Alan Cole.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 5 string, Steve Whitmore, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Steve Whitmore, who over-turned a 215 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
